New Friends

Yes, I have new friends - from all over the world: Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, and the US of course:

Two people not in this picture are recent med school grads we met while we were chatting on campus.  One from Afghanistan and the other Iraqi/Iranian.  They told hilarious stories about their impressions of Americans and Trump - the latter having been a source of great amusement for them - so much so that they were sad to see him go!

And speaking of sad, it was hard to empty those suitcases, put them away and store all of my clothes.  Just a bit of homesickness.  After all, this was my first move in 34 YEARS!!

The apartment is sunny and bright - more on that later!  Now off to enjoy the ever elusive sunshine that we occasionally have here in the Netherlands!
