 The week that was...

I have to admit that there are days when I wonder what the hell am I doing here?  What am I spending so much time, studying, writing,  working, missing home, away from family and friends in this city with the most god-awful weather -(yesterday it was cold and hailing as I rode my bike to school and back and I was soaked and cold when I got home) when I could be at home enjoying a happy, contented retirement.  That feeling was with me this week, as I prepared for a statistics final exam and wrote a 20-page paper for Local Government Finance and Investment.  I enjoy both subjects, I really do, but the workload can be overwhelming at times.  I am not complaining (maybe a bit), because I am still happy to be here, but... this week was a challenge.

One thing that is a big deal with my colleagues are 'memes' and 'gifs'.  There are lots of texts that go flying all over the place, among the entire group, among smaller groups, between individuals.  And many of these 'texts' contain 'memes' or 'gifs'.  So I've had to sharpen my skills to keep up.  Here is a 'meme' I created to express how I felt this past week:

I did get lots of positive feedback from the other students - they thought it was funny - and I think I made it pretty clear that I can create the meme with the best of them!
