alles is goed

At least that was the verdict yesterday, after my sort-of accident while on my bike, crashing into a pedestrian. I think I had the pedestrian's sympathy because I was the one falling to the ground, and she had come into the bike lane without looking, while I was trying to check directions on my phone. Yikes - anyway, it was an OV-Fiets (bike), meaning the bike was not mine. It belonged to the transit system - RET - the same system that runs all the trains, trams, buses and subways. If you have a OV-Chipkaart you can use an OV-Fiets when you arrive at your destination for free. And my destination was Den Haag.
