 Fun Events on Campus

Last week, the university held a screening of student produced films and several of my colleagues made a film and we all got to watch.  They were very efficient, producing an 8-minute movie in less than 48 hours.  On the night of the viewing, I attended to cheer them on and to vote for the IHS entry (Institute for Housing and Urban Sustainability is the name of our program) .  Before the film began, the hostess interviewed two of the 4 students who participated - Miguel from Columbia and Mahiat from Bangladesh.

The movie was so funny and very well done.  Than you Miguel, Mahiat, Fatima, Reima and Sharon for a great effort!

Yesterday, I was invited to an Indonesian lunch in the F-building - the international student dorm - where about 1/3 of the students in my program live.  It was wonderful!  Chicken satay, meatballs, spicy sauces, vegetables, rice, the works.  Here's the spread - now, keep in mind that this meal was prepared in two different dorm rooms, each with only a 2-burner stove top!

Thanks to Talitha and Belva!
